LG 50PK950 Television Review-Nice If A Bit Pricey

I don’t get much access with LG product–usually I’m neck deep in Sony or Samsung product–so when I do get a turn with some LG product, I take notice.  And today’s review target, the LG 50PK950,  is actually a pretty impressive piece in a lot of ways…though not so much in others.

The LG 50PK950 is a fifty inch 1080p plasma television with two ten watt speakers augmented by a Dolby Digital decoder and Infinite Sound surround system, plus a load of other options. You’ll also get an RF input, two A/V inputs, two component video inputs, four HDMI inputs, one PC input, one Ethernet input, two USB ports, one optical digital output, internet connectivity and x.v.Color technology.

You can see there’s plenty of great stuff here, and the television looks great and sounds pretty good (ten watts only does so much no matter how you augment it), and there’s more than enough room for all your components regardless of age.  And the price is also a pretty welcome revelation–Best Buy offers these for just seventeen hundred dollars.

So with a decent price on a really nice system, the LG 50PK950 stands out as one great possible value if you’re in the market for a new television.
