Toshiba 55UX600U Television Review-Downright Impressive

Today we take a look at a fine LED television from the folks out at Toshiba–it’s a pretty potent system, and the price tag won’t be too terrible either, considering that it’s one of the newest classes of television. It’s the Toshiba 55UX600U, and it’s going to surprise you.

The Toshiba 55UX600U is a fifty five inch 1080p LED television that offers ClearFrame technology for a 120 hertz refresh rate which in turn minimizes blurring, AutoView ambient room light analyzer, internet connectivity for immediate access to a variety of content providers along with a Wi-Fi adapter, DynaLight backlight control for deeper black levels, a gaming mode, four HDMI inputs, one component input, one composite input, one PC input, one USB port, one Ethernet jack and one optical digital audio output.

I’m not exactly happy about the lack of composite and component imports, especially as expressed against the number of HDMI ports. It’s great to have a lot of HDMI ports, no mistake, but not everybody has nothing but new components, and as such, component and composite ports are necessary, at least as far as I’m concerned, they are. The picture and sound, however, aren’t easy to complain about because they’re looking pretty good–and sounding pretty good, respectively.

But still, for those of you with newer components, you really won’t be disappointed here. And considering that you can get one of these out at Amazon for twelve hundred bucks, it’s not exactly difficult to see the value in this.

You might do better with smaller and cheaper, but for a good sized LED television, the Toshiba 55UX600U is definitely up toward the top of the food chain.
