Sony has recently come up with Surround Sound A/V Receivers STR-DG710 with Active Intelligence to automatically detect and receive optimal video and audio signals from connected devices. STR-DG710 is a 6.1 channel receiver that offers 105 watts of power per channel.
It has the capacity to receive XM® Radio satellite programming. With the HDMI connections and BRAVIA™ Theater Sync provided in Sony’s STR-DG710 it becomes easy to connect high-definition equipment like Sony’s Blu-ray Disc playes and BRAVIA flat LCD televisions.
The receiver serves as an all-digital path from source to display that weilds full1080p HD resolution and up to eight channels of uncompressed audio. Digital Cinema Auto Calibration is put in to simplify multi-channel surround sound setup with the use of a microphone. The new receivers are XM Connect-and-Play ready. Sony’s STR-DG710 will be available in March for about $300.
