Lyrinx Releases 3 SACD Set of Mozart String Quintets

Lyrinx has expanded their SACD catalog with their first Multichannel SACD. The new Multichannel release is a 3 SACD Set of Mozart String Quintets by Yuri Gandelsman and the Fine Arts Quartet (Lyrinx LYR 2214).

The album is a Hybrid Multichannel SACD disc which includes Multichannel SACD, Stereo SACD and Stereo CD mixes. It is compatible with SACD and CD players.

Earlier Stereo SACD Releases
Lyrinx was the first French record company to release SACDs. Since their initial release, Lyrinx has issued four Hybrid Layer Stereo SACDs. They are as follows:

  • Beethoven: First and Third Piano Concertos – Jean-Claude Pennetier, Orchestre Philharmonic de Monte Carlo & Serge Baudo (Lyric LYR 2186)
  • Chopin: Sonata No. 2 – Caroline Sageman (Lyrinx LYR 2194)
  • French Music for Clarinet and Piano – Heau and Zygmanowski (Lyrinx LYR 2195)
  • Violon – David Galoustov (Lyrinx LYR 2207)
