Sony’s PS3 is one of the few home video game consoles that has seen an immense amount of success over the years. However, it’s also been on the market for quite some time so it’s no surprise that Sony could potentially be gearing up to launch a next generation console. While we don’t have information as to when exactly the next generation console will be coming out we do have some clues. According to recent reports it seems that Sony has decided to cut the price tag of the PS3 down to just $250.

This puts the console on a much more level playing field with the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii which are already priced quite low to begin with. We’ll have to wait and see if this price cut translates into boosted sales. We’ll keep you posted/
