Samsung UN65C6500 LED Television Review-Spectacular Picture, Lesser Sound

We’re going to end our week with the LED television with a look at a big monster LED television–the Samsung UN65C6500. And though the name isn’t very original (catch that two sets of 65s?), that’s not going to matter in the least as you look at a massive, beautiful LED television that will cost an arm and a leg.

The Samsung UN65C6500 is a sixty five inch 1080p LED television that offers 120 Hz operation to reduce blurring, ConnectShare Movie to let you access content on cameras or USB drives, Samsung’s Smart TV which gives you access to the steadily growing lineup of apps in Samsung’s app store (many of which are actually free, and you can find things there like AccuWeather, YouTube, Netflix and Blockbuster Online), a game mode to further reduce blurring while playing games, Wide Color Enhancer Pro systems to improve picture quality, two ten watt speakers, four HDMI ports, two usb ports, one component input, one optical sound input, one PC input and an ethernet port.

The first thing you’ll notice right off is how thin this television is. That doesn’t help the sound quality here, because part of sound quality is having room to generate. But that’s not really important as the enormous and downright beautiful sixty five inch picture on this thing. Sound quality in a television, you can make up for that with better speakers and a nice home theater system. Picture quality, now, you can’t fix that but with a better television, and this one has a spectacular picture.

Though you’ll be paying for a big, beautiful television like this–three different stores have it at four thousand forty seven dollars–and frankly, with a picture this huge and terrific, well, it’s not at all surprising they want this kind of money for one.

But if you don’t have a problem of spending the equivalent of some breeds of used car on a television set, well, the Samsung UN65C6500 is waiting for you, and it’s magnificent.
