Onkyo Launches New Home Theater Receivers

August 14, in Accessories

Recently, Onkyo added two new models to its product line of home theater receivers, dubbing them the HT-RC260 and the HT-RC270. Both receivers feature 7.2-channel systems with a 3D-ready HDMI-1.4a interface, high-definition surround sound via Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio codecs. Furthermore, they’re also packing Audyssey DSX and Dolby Pro Logic IIz for extra-rich audio. However, the main selling point for the HT-RC270, being the more expensive of the models is that it’s THX-Select 2Plus certified. In addition to this, the HT-RC270 carries Audyssey MultiEQ for better room equalization setup and supports network capability for DLNA 1.5 and Windows 7 as well. Thus, the HT-RC260 is priced at $499 while the HT-RC270 will cost $899 and both Onkyo receivers are available for retail right now.
