New Wireless Headphones From Sennheiser

Recently, Sennheiser launched a new set of wireless headphones that’s designed to provide high-resolution, movie-theater-quality audio through uncompressed wireless transmission from Kleer. Currently, the headphones are available in three different models known as the RS 160, RS 170 and RS 180, which feature powerful transducers, ideal for the home theater experience. With their wireless capacity, the three sets of headphones carry cable-free functionality and excellent audio, made possible through Kleer wireless technology. As a result, they work without compression, which means no audio detail loss that would be occurring.

Furthermore, the Sennheiser headphones also have a functionality radius up to 328 feet (RS 160 up to 65 feet, RS 170 up to 262 feet and RS 180 up to 328 feet; optimum line-of-sight). Other specifications of the three models include soft-padded ear cups, adjustable headbands, transducers with powerful neodymium magnets and a distortion of only 0.5 percent reproduce for musical nuances and a frequency response from 18 to 21,000 Hertz. In addition to this, there’s a sound pressure level of up to 110 decibels as well.

Most specifically, the RS 160 is the entry-level model with detailed sound and bass reproduction, the RS 170 is a closed model like the 160 but provides bass boost and switchable surround simulation and the RS 180 is top-of-the-line with adjustable, natural sound, dynamic compression and adjustable balance. These three models even support connectivity with a television set, stereo system or DVD player and a 2.4 GHz digital radio transmitter, charging cradle and receiver are included for each model. However, the receivers are sold separately. Lastly, the RS 160 is priced at $199.95 (MSRP: $259.95), the RS 170 costs $249.95 (MSRP: $329.95) while the RS 180 is available for $299.95 (MSRP: $389.95) and they’re all on sale for retail right now.
