Marantz has started to ship its first reference multichannel SACD player, the SA-12S1.
As well as SACD capability, the SA-12S1 is playback-compatible with Dolby Digital and DTS-encoded DVD-Video discs, as well as CD, CD-R, CD-RW and Video CD discs.
It features: two sets of analogue outputs — a stereo pair and a six channel array; optical and coaxial digital outputs for all formats except SACD; and component (interlaced), s-video and composite video outputs.
