At the annual UBS Media Conference in New York, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes didn’t have many nice things to say abut Netflix. He’s quoted of saying that the big media companies will now take more control of their content, and that Netflix as a threat is over.

“It’s a little bit like, is the Albanian army going to take over the world? I don’t think so.”

Netflix got hold of a lot of movie content from Starz for a reported $25 million, a deal which was considered a steal for Netflix. Subsequently, Netflix paid $250 million for movie rights, and now, the price is set to increase further.
