DVD-Audio Releases from Hodie

Specialist multimedia label Hodie Productions is about to release its first DVD-A title, Beethoven’s Symphony No.9, Op. 125 performed by the Europa Philharmonia Budapest Choir and Orchestrsa conducted by Maximianno Cobra.

Also coming in 2001/2002, performed by the same Orchestra and Conductor: the remainder of the Beethoven Symphonies on four discs and his Missa Solemnis; five discs of works by J.S. Bach (The Orchestral Suites, The Brandenburg Concerti and The St. Matthew Passion); Mozart’s Requiem and two discs of opera Overtures; and three discs of Orchestral Music by Richard Wagner.

All Hodie’s releases appear to contain two DVD-A soundtracks: two channels at 193K/24 bit resolution and six channels at 96K/24 bit resolution. The Hodie website also states a “Collector Edition” bonus of DVD-V compatibility with DTS and DD soundtracks.
