Universal Plans SACDs by The Who and Marvin Gaye

Just days after the release of their first 10 SACDs in the US market, Universal Music has announced 3 additional SACD titles for release in early 2003. The new SACDs are «The Who Sings My Generation» by The Who (MCA), «Let’s Get It On» by Marvin Gaye (Motown) and Leonard Bernstein Conducts West Side Story with Kiri Te Kanawa, Josй Carreras, Tatiana Troyanos, Kurt Ollman and Marilyn Horne (DGG Classics).

As with their prior SACD releases, the 3 newly announced Universal Music SACDs are a mixture of Hybrid Layer and Single Layer SACDs. The West Side Story SACD will be a Hybrid Layer Multichannel/Stereo SACD (including a CD Audio track for compatibility with CD Audio players) while the Marvin Gaye will be a Single Layer Multichannel/Stereo SACD and The Who SACD will be a Single Layer Stereo SACD (playable only on SACD players).
