Sharp introduced the XS1 series AQUOS LCD HDTV’s at the IFA this year. The two distinguished models also marked their presence at the CEDIA EXPO. The latest offerings 52” LC-52XS1U-S and 65” LC-65XS1U-S grabbed eyeballs for their catchy looks and elegant design. Both the models boast of 1-inch thickness and Sharp’s 10-bit Advanced Super View LCD panel. Besides featuring the RGB-LED backlight system, 1080p resolution, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and 100Hz motion rate, they also equip Sharp’s 1-Bit digital amplifier. The entire 1-inch set comes packed with a separate AVC system set-top-box for handling inputs, however one misses the company of WHDI there.
