Pico projectors to cost $20?

May 5, in Portable

We just recently saw the Optoma PK100 pico project get its price cut from $200 to $150 but are you waiting for prices to drop a bit more until you fork over the cash for one of these little projectors? Well, according to LCoS, one of the premier makers of display technologies, that price may be dropping more rapidly than we originally thought.

According to them, prices will drop down to between $20 -$30 per projector in the coming years. Additionally, they have said that these pico projectors will be able to produce a whopping 8 ANSI lumens per watt usage. Pretty good considering their size.
