NXP Releases Advanced 3DTV Processor

NXP has announced the release of the PNX5130, the industry’s first co-processor that enables 3DTV, FRC and local backlighting dimming through a single chip. The release of this new chip means that 3DTV manufacturers can now produce cost-effective 3D-enabled TV sets for the consumer market. The PNX5130 enables conversion for all popular 3DTV formats and is designed for maximum flexibility for emerging 3DTV standards.

The PNX5130 is now available and will be among the products that will be shown at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
