NAT debuts most powerful single ended Magma amplifier

November 16, in Amplifier

NAT has recently introduced the most powerful single ended power amplifier named it Magma. It is called Magma, because the color of anode is as actual as vulkan’s magma. This powerful amplifier can churn out 160-watts at 4- and 8-ohms with a frequency response of 10Hz to 100 kHz. The amplifier has got a unique design and makes me remind of a huge bulb, approximately Magma measures 11.8″ (300 mm) wide ? 25.2″ (640 mm) deep ? 14.2″ (360 mm) high and weights 110 lbs (50 kg) packed. Although there is not much information about the device till now and also NAT has not yet revealed the date of arrival of Magma amplifier but still we have been told that the amplifier would cost the users about $55,000 per pair. So all those music lovers wait for some more days and we will update you on the developments of news piece and thus stay tuned….

For 55,000, they can’t even spell the word “amplifier” correctly on their web page.

And important specs are missing, like THD figures.

    Frequency response means nothing.

What is the amplifier’s THD related to frequency, into a 4 ohm load?

Without global negative feedback, good luck with that.
