July 14, in 3d

Good news for 3D enthusiasts out there – ESPN has just announced that their recent broadcast of the Home Run Derby in full 3D has went extremely well with websites like Wired giving positive views of the service. Unfortunately, if you’re not a subscriber to a broadcast network that offers ESPN 3D you’re out of luck both in terms of future broadcasts and re runs of the Home Run Derby.

All of that aside, this is great news because it has given prospective 3D content makers the fuel they need to move full speed ahead. Now that this 3D sports broadcast has been a success, we’re sure to see many more where that came from.
