Thought rumors that Apple was planning to make some 3D displays surfaced somewhere in December, it looks like they are making some progress. This is of course assuming that Apple’s “iSpecs” which was initially mistaken to be an April Fool’s Joke. It looks like the joke is on us.

The patent was actually filed last April 1 where the application for the said device can be mounted with an external camera and infrared sensor. With the iSpecs, users will be able to slide their iPod or iPhone into it.
