Worlds First SACD Single Released

Market Square Records has released what they claim to be the world’s first SACD Single. The single is a Hybrid Stereo SACD that features the songs “Did I Hurt You?” and “Isn’t It A Little Late?” by Irish singer Eleanor McEvoy (Market Square SACD MSMSACD114). Since the disc is a Hybrid SACD, it is compatible with both SACD and CD players.

The price of the SACD single is Ј3.99 incl. postage (UK only) or Ј3.50 plus postage (Europe & ROW). You can order the disc direct from Market Square Records (see web link below).

Eleanor McEvoy’s Yola Album – Also Available on SACD
The two songs featured on the SACD single are from Eleanor McEvoy’s recent album entitled “Yola” which is also now available as a Hybrid Stereo SACD album (Market Square MSMSACD113).

McEvoy is a well known singer in Ireland. She came to the attention of many Irish music fans when her song “Only A Woman’s Heart” inspired the title for, and appeared on, the “A Woman’s Heart” anthology album. This anthology album has become the best selling album in Irish history (even topping records by Van Morrison and U2). The album stayed in the Top 10 for over a year (and is still on the Irish charts today). “Yola” follows up McEvoy’s 1999’s Rupert Hine produced “Snapshots” album.
