ViewSonic Debuts VPD31 3D Processor

In this day and age pretty much no matter where you look you’ll see that 3D is quickly becoming all the rage. Not only is just about every movie hitting cinemas released in a 3D version but many hardware manufacturers are also getting down on the 3D fun releasing everything from 3D video game consoles (a la the Nintendo 3DS) to 3DTVs and even prosumer 3D camcorders.

But what happens if you have something like a 3D DLP projector and aren’t able to view content from something like a PS3 on it? We’ll you’re in luck as ViewSonic has just come forth toady to announce the VPD31 3D processor that will have your 3D Blu-ray player, PS3 and TV signal living in harmony with the company’s line of 3D DLP projectors.

According to the press release this box comes with a pair of PDG-250 3D glasses, 2 HDMI 1.4a input ports and a single HDMI 1.3 output port. If you’re in the UK ViewSonic’s 3D processor is available now for ?299 ($483 USD) with no word on a North American release just yet. Stay tuned.
