Recently, TRENDnet came out with two new USB 3.0 external enclosures called the 3.5-inch TU3-S35 and 2.5-inch TU3-S25. Both of these HDD enclosures deliver 5Gbps USB 3.0 speed, which makes them ten times faster than USB 2.0 enclosures. They can also carry a SATA I or II hard disk drive with storage capacities up to one Terabyte, although the hard drive itself is sold separately. However, a USB 3.0 Type A connector that’s backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports is included. Thus, the TRENDnet TU3-S35 is available for $79.99 while the TRENDnet TU3-S25 is priced at $59.99.
