Telarc Releases 14 PentaTone Multichannel SACDs in U.S. [HFR]

Delivering on its announcement earlier this month, Telarc International released 14 PentaTone Multichannel SACDs in the U.S. market earlier this week on Tuesday. All of the Multichannel SACDs in this initial U.S. release are currently available in the European market.

Tuesday’s list of PentaTone Classics Multichannel SACDs include 6 original recordings from PentaTone Classics. These albums are new recordings made on Multichannel DSD equipment.

Also on the list are 8 of the “RQR” Remastered Quadro Recordings from PentaTone Classics. The RQR series feature 4 Channel Quadraphonic Classical Recordings from the Philips Classics catalog of the 1970s. The original analog Quad master tapes are used here and are transferred to DSD for issue on Multichannel SACD. The releases are as follows:

    All 14 of the PentaTone Classics albums are single inventory SACDs that are being made available only in SACD format. They are also Hybrid Layer Multichannel SACDs. The discs are designed to play in SACD and CD players as well as SACD compatible DVD Video players.
