Taiwanese LCD Vendors to Slash off LCD Prices

. .

Small and portable are what’s in nowadays and the LCD vendors know it. Rather than know it, it would be more correct to say that they’re “feelin’ it.” After all, due to the recent boom in sales of laptops and ultra-small notebook PCs (blame Asus Eee), they’ve experienced quite the decline in sales since the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2007. These vendors, namely: BenQ, Chi Mei Group, and Viewsonic, all plan to slash the prices of their LCD products to enamor buyers into purchasing them. The price rollback is between 7% to 14%. The vendors are hoping that this will trigger the rebound in sales of desktop computers.
