CES 2009 is getting closer and closer and we’ll be waiting for all those hot products to be revealed. One of them should be this new LCD display from LG. It’s a 14.1 inch LCD display made for hardcore notebook users.

If you happen to carry your laptop around at all times and use it both outside and inside, you might be interested in this new technology LG is proposing. The company has managed to capture that sunlight to increase the visibility of this particular display. The screen can switch from transmissive to reflective mode thus adapting to the light in your area. The light coming from the sun will turn of the backlight and it will reduce power consumption by 75% when you’re outside. I wouldn’t mind seeing this technology in more LCDs. How much will one of those babies cost?
