Sony VPL-FX40/FX40L Projector

Another projector to be unveiled by Sony recently was the Sony VPL-FX40/FX40L Projectors. While the former just includes a standard lens, the latter can be bundled with a 3 additional lenses. The Sony VPL-FX40 is also targeted at those who require it for business or large-scale purposes. Thus its ideal for education, government, corporate, house of worship and hospitality applications.

The Sony VPL-FX40 delivers native XGA resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels and produce 4,000 lumens, ANSI. One also comes across the critically acclaimed imaging technology, called BrightEra which not only delivers a higher aperture ratio to deliver brighter images but also makes the projector resistant to to damage from UV rays.

The Sony VPL-FX40 is equipped with a 1F inversion panel drive which is capable of producing images without any flickering. Then thanks to the 12-bit Gamma Correction Circuitry, the projector produces uniform image color and brightness. Other features found on the projector include; range of input signals, including HDMI™, component and composite video, S-Video (Y/C), and computer signals up to UXG and five BNC connectors. The Sony VPL-FX40 will be available in January for $6,150 and VPL-FX40L in February for $5,550.
