Sony SRX-T420: A Bright Idea In Projectors

I know, it’s a bit of a pun (yeah, like the first two thirds of a pun, which is just a fancy way of saying it stinks, but you have to think about it) to say that the Sony SRX-T420 projector is a “bright idea”, but when you consider the sheer candlepower this sucker’s throwing out it’s a pretty fair point.

The Sony SRX-T420 is a projector of singular power–a 1080p projector that puts out twenty thousand lumens. Plus, it’s also got a contrast ratio of three thousand to one and a native resolution of 4096 x 2160, both of which stats easily outweigh anything Sony’s ever put out.

This model was planned for full-on AV professionals, and can even equip SXRD-compatible lenses.

This is still pretty new, so pricing and release data is still pretty short on the field.  But with that kind of power you can be pretty clear that it’s not going to be cheap.
