Sony SAVHDX285 Home Theater System Review-An Excellent Buy

Sony has given me a lot of choice home theater products to talk about, and it doesn’t surprise me at all that the Sony SAVHDX285 is another one in a fine line.

The Sony DAVHDX285 is a 5.1 channel surround sound speaker system with four satellite speakers, a center channel speaker and a subwoofer, plus a five disc DVD player with built in amplifier that upconverts all video into 1080p.  The system generates a total of one thousand watts, and offers multiple surround sound decoders already built in.  It’s compatible with a variety of video and audio formats, and includes Bravia SYNC capability as well as one coaxial digital audio input, one optical digital audio input, one analog audio input, one stereo mini audio input, one Digital Media Port, one HDMI output, one component video output, one composite video output, and one headphone output as well as an iPod dock.

You can see this offers a lot of bells and whistles, but it also performs well, having better sound than the comparable 589W from Sony, along with equivalent quality bass levels.

And considering you can get this model on Amazon for two hundred and twenty five bucks, the Sony DAVHDX285 is an excellent buy if you’re looking for a home theater system.
