Sony Lets Loose VPL-VW90ES 3D Projector For Around $10,000

3D display technology may make for an immersive experience but many have wondered if the high price tag is actually worth it. Well, if you’re someone who hasn’t wondered that, uses $100 bills as bath tissue and bathes in gold coins you’ll be happy to hear that Sony has released the VPL-VW90ES today.

This 3D projector features a 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution, 1,000 ANSI lumens, a 150,000:1 contrast ratio and is destined for home theaters. According to reports, this one of the first projectors to output video with the new HD 3D format that will work perfect with its HDMI 1.4 ports.

Of course, you’re going to need to buy a pair of compatible 3D glasses to get the full effect but that’s just a drop in the bucket compared to the near $10,000 you will be paying for the VPL-VW90ES.
