Sony Bravia DAVDZ170 Home Theater System Review-Good, Just Not Great

Brace yourselves, kiddies, because I’ve got a sweet Sony package for you today.  You’ve heard a lot of excellent things, especially from me, about the Sony Bravia line, so it’s not going to come as too much of a surprise when I tell you that the Sony Bravia DAVDZ170 will be a lot like the television line, with plenty of great value to offer, even if it’s not exactly perfect.

The Sony Bravia DAVDZ170 is a thousand watt, 5.1 channel home theater system with DVD player and subwoofer.  Plus, you get a variety of surround sound decoders (Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic among others) and DVD playback options, magnetic shielding for the speakers, iPod compatibility, Bravia Sync, digital cinema audio calibration systems, an HDMI output, and a component video output.

The sound on this isn’t half bad–not as good as some I’ve heard, you understand, but still very good on the whole.  And when you figure in the fact that Best Buy wants two hundred fifty dollars for this system, it’s even more impressive for the sheer value of it.  So if you’ve been looking for a new home theater speaker system, then have a look at the Sony Bravia DAVDZ170.
