Sony BRAVIA DAV-IS10 Micro Home Theater System

Everything is becoming smaller. A few days back we were told about the launch of “oio” World’s First Real Pocket Nano-projector. Today Sony unveiled their 5.1 channel DAV-IS10 Micro Home Theater System designed to deliver big sound in a small package. The system comprises of five tiny speakers about the size of a golf ball including unique subwoofer to deliver sound quality of full size speakers. The home theater system is teemed with compact and single disc DVD/CD player/receiver.

“Today, consumers want home theater products that are unobtrusive and easily integrate into the home’s decor,” said Jeff Goldstein, vice president of Sony Electronics’ consumer audio group. “The IS10 delivers superb surround sound in a form factor that is so small that it is basically a non-factor for people who are conscious of space.”

Sony’s new BRAVIA® Theatre Sync technology provided in DAV-IS10 utilizes the HDMI™ interface to communicate with select Sony BRAVIA televisions. Now the users can automatically turn on and switch inputs just at the press of a single button. Other features of this tiny system include compact DVD/CD player upscaling DVDs to 720p or 1080i output when connected via HDMI to a compatible high-definition television, Sony’s Digital Media Port input making the system compatible with various optional accessories like Bluetooth-enabled devices, Walkman™ and iPod® products.
