Sharp Announces HDTV with Built-in Blu-ray

.

One of the major things that stink about this technological revolution that we are going through, is all the extra money that you have to dish out in order to stay on top of the game. Well, instead of having to buy a brand new HDTV to replace your old set, and a Blu-ray player to replace your aging DVD player, why not opt for a HDTV from Sharp’s new line that includes a built in Blu-ray player.

Sharp’s new DX series includes the following six models: LC-37DX1, LC-42DX1, LC-46DX1, LC-52DX1, LC-26DX1 and LC-32DX1. The sets will range from a modest 26 inches all the way up to a giganto 50 inches. The real selling point, however, is the Blu-ray player built in which allows not only playback of a double-player BD but also full HD recording. Sounds good to me.

There’s no word on when exactly these sets will hit the State’s because, like all good technology, it’s currently only out in Japan. But word has it, they will range from $2,000 – $5,000 if/when they do in fact come stateside. What? You didn’t except to pay anything less, did you?
