Samsung has just announced that they will be investing 2,500 billion Won or about 2.2 billion USD into the development, design and production of AMOLED televisions. This is just part of the $23 billion they plan to invest in new products this year.

The new factory that will be produce these AMOLED displays is expected to begin producing televisions sometime in 2012. This new factory will hopefully help Samsung produce bigger and more efficient AMOLED displays helping to get the new technology into more homes.
