Samsung PN58C680 Television Review-A High Quality Samsung

Samsung brings us another interesting piece in their lineup of 3D-capable plasma televisions–the Samsung PN58C680. I’ve seen more than a few Samsungs, and they generally do a fair job. This one’s going to do better than fair, really, even if it costs like it.

The Samsung PN58C680 is a fifty eight inch 1080p plasma television that offers full HD 3D (but you’ll need the extra components like the Blu-ray player and such to fully realize it), Clear Image Panel technology (it “eliminates off-angle reflections”, which sure sounds like “reduces glare” to me, but I could be wrong on that score), game mode to enhance the picture in high-speed settings (and even improves the sound quality in them, so I’m told) BD Wise technology (which adjusts all your settings according to conditions and what you’re watching), two fifteen watt speakers with simulated surround and SRS TruSurround HD, four HDMI inputs, two component video inputs, two component audio inputs, one PC input, one digital audio output, a USB port, the AllShare feature (this one streams your audio and video from DLNA), and ConnectShare Movie.

I liked this one. What really got me about the Samsung PN58C680 is that it actually has features I haven’t seen before–a game mode that enhances sound? AllShare? These aren’t things I see every day, nor are they things I even remember seeing in Samsung. However, what I do recognize easily is Samsung’s choice picture quality and sound quality, both of which I thought was really impressive.

And this will really surprise you: the folks out at Best Buy want two thousand seventy bucks for this. That’s a sale price, but still, that’s pretty good especially for all the features you get with this, not to mention the image quality and sound quality besides.

In fact, it’s one of the better Samsungs I’ve seen in some time. So if you’re looking for a new television, spare a thought for the literally out of nowhere Samsung PN58C680.
