Samsung PN42B450B1D Television Review-A Big Surprise

It’s not every day that I can say precious little but kind things about a Samsung–we’ve had more than our share of troubles in the past.  But this time I’ve got a pretty good experience to report around my time with the Samsung PN42B450B1D.

The Samsung PN42B450B1D is a forty two inch 1080p plasma television with included antiglare technology, wide color enhancer 2, a built in twenty watt speaker system, three HDMI inputs, two component inputs, one A/V jack, one composite input, one PC input and AnyNet Plus functionality.

I’ve ripped on Samsung a great many times, but this time is a little bit different.  I was actually surprised by how well the picture and the sound quality turned out, especially since this is something of a lower end Samsung plasma.  But I was actually enjoying how this looked.  Good blues, not much artifacting (at least that I could see on this model)…it was looking pretty good.

So here’s to you, Samsung, for getting one right.  The Samsung PN42B450B1D will run you about six hundred bucks at Best Buy, and my experience with it was not at all bad.
