Samsung LN40C650 LCD Television Review-Incremental Improvement

All right, folks…this is it. You’ve got two days until the big game kicks off, and as such, we’ve got one more LCD television for you to have a look at before you make a run for snacks and drinks. We’re closing out a week of reviews with the Samsung LN40C650, and it’s quite a solid end to the week.

The Samsung LN40C650 is a forty inch 1080p LCD television that offers Samsung’s Touch of Color design (in red), 120 Hz Clear Motion technology to decrease blurring, ConnectShare Movie that lets you stream content from thumb drives or cameras, Samsung Smart TV which allows you access to a wide variety of internet content providers (including Blockbuster, Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand and plenty more), a game mode to reduce blurring in high-speed video like gaming, Wide Color Enhancer Pro, BD Wise to automatically adjust levels on all your components, two ten watt speakers backed up with SRS TheaterSound, AnyNet Plus, four HDMI ports, two USB ports, and one PC input.

This one is actually a lot like the LN40C560 we reviewed earlier this week, with some augmentations, like the SRS TheaterSound, among others. It’s a pretty worthwhile step up, because it takes an already solid model and ramps it up a bit. Any time you can describe something as “like whatever, only better”, you know it’s one worth looking at.

And it only gets better–as it turns out, the folks out at Amazon want $703.51 for one of these, which is only slightly more than the LN40C560 we reviewed earlier this year went for.

I would actually suggest going with the Samsung LN40C650 if you can–the extra fifty bucks will be pretty well spent considering the incremental improvement in performance.
