Samsung HT-BD1250 Home Theater System Review-Mostly Fantastic

Samsung once again astonishes me with the sheer force of its stereo gear, but leaves me a bit nonplussed with its control scheme with the Samsung HT-BD1250.

The Samsung HT-BD1250 is a 5.1 channel surround sound system with six speakers (including one amplifier and subwoofer), a thousand watts of total power output, built in surround sound decoders, a Blu-ray player that’s compatible with a whole slew of formats and will upconvert your regular DVDs, wireless speaker compatibility (when you buy an extra kit), Wifi capability (again, when you buy an extra kit), iPod / iPhone dock, USB port, stereo audio input, optical digital audio input, HDMI output, component video output, and two digital audio outputs.

The sound on this sucker is just plain old spectacular, even if they want five hundred fifty bucks for this system the sound is worth it and the fact that it comes with a Blu-ray player is all the more compelling.  The only problem I have with it is that, once again, Samsung is playing cute with its control scheme, and it will take some time to get used to for those not already accustomed to it.

But aside from that rather minor gripe, the Samsung HT-BD1250 is a terrific system that’ll give you lots of great performance.
