The Samsung 2009 BD-PX600 just received a firmware update of V2.09, but the update blocked these Blu-ray devices from playing Universal and Warner Brothers movies. It is a similar problem with the Samsung BD-UP50000.

Yes, that is a problem, and my Source says they lock up after displaying the title image. Sadly, the help line reps say to “wait for the next update”, which could be as long as a few weeks.

Oh man, let’s hope this update gets put on the fast track.
