Samsung Adds Facebook And Google Maps To Their HDTV Apps Library

Recently, Samsung expanded their HDTV-based Apps library with the addition of Facebook and Google Maps. Like other companies seem to be doing, Samsung might have assumed that consumers want access to social network sites and applications on any electronic device ranging from a smartphone to a television set.

Furthermore, Samsung products such as 2010 Blu-ray players, Blu-ray home theater systems and many of their TV sets measuring 40 inches or bigger now have the ability to download and use applications. This seems to be part of the rising trend in today’s culture where more people come to rely on apps for work, everyday needs and personal entertainment.

Information about the applications actually listed in Samsung’s library isn’t available at this time. But most customers are already familiar with the apps out there today and they’re probably more concerned with being able to use them on their television sets and Blu-ray players.
