We have discussed RedEye universal remote on one of our sister sites, mobilewhack. For those that don’t know it, it is a way to turn an iPhone into a way to control the TV, DVD, and DVR.

Some might have seen the App as too complicated, and if you need some sort of “mini” app, it is available.

This is a “device focused” approach to a basic universal remote. I’m not certain what that means, but the picture here would suggest the stuff that I actually use on the remote.

Don’t forget the IR adapter for about $49.
