RealD working to improve active shutter 3D glasses

RealD, one of the big players in the 3D arena, have announced that they’re working with Freescale Semiconductor to develop new active shutter 3D glasses with “enhanced 3D active eyewear”, which will use Freescale’s new chips to better sync with the 3D TVs and devices.

The new technology will also allow the glasses to operate over longer distances, however, there’s no news on when the new tech will be available, only that RealD and Freescale have entered a partnership.
