Yet another projector has been announced for use in educational or enterprise settings – this time from Optoma. The company has stepped forward today to show off their EW536 projector. Seeing how it’s set for use within classrooms and the like don’t expect it to have any hard hitting features but it does pack a 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution, 2,800 ANSI lumens and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. Another interesting feature Optoma has decided to include is 3D compatibility. Boy I wish they showed us 3D slide shows when I was in grade school – that would have made things a lot more interesting.
On the port from the EW536 features HDMI, VGA, composite and s-video. Unfortunately, no word has been given on when it will be released or at what price point but we’ll keep you posted.
