If you’re looking for a projector perfect for large venues, look no further. Optoma has just come forth today to show off their EX784 projector, pictured above. The biggest selling point of this projector, as I just touched on, is its ability to display a crisp image even when there is a lot of ambient light (an environment which large venues are notorious for). In terms of specs the projector features a 1024 x 768 XGA resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 5000 ANSI lumens and Texas Instrument’s Dark Chip 3 which includes BrilliantColor technology. In other words, the picture is near guaranteed to look good.
On the port side of things the EX784 doesn’t skimp coming complete with HDMI, DVI-D, 2 RGB ports, S-Video, component, composite and just about every audio port you can think of (within reason). All in all, the Optoma EX784 looks like a very capable projector for those looking to host large events that require a projector to pull its weight even in less than optimal conditions.
Unfortunately, while Optoma says the EX784 is available now we weren’t able to pin point a price point so we will have to get back to you. Stay tuned.
