Nokia makes a gigantic touchscreen made of ice

I’m not certain why Nokia did this, but they have fashioned a touchscreen of ice. Perhaps it is to demonstrate their Plug and Touch technology.

Perhaps this is one of those things that you do just to prove that you can. These are essentially ice blocks fused together to form an ice wall, and then a projector to shoot it full of infrared light. This allows the 6.5 x 5 foot wall to act as one giant touchscreen.

I suppose this would work well in a home theater for an igloo, I suppose. However, how much finger swiping cold you do before the screen gets dented by melting.
