NEC has unveiled a new LCD monitor, the MultiSync EA22WMe which has been tagged as green and consumes 52% less power than common 22” LCDs and 25% less heat. The reason behind this is that the LCD is LED backlit. It boasts of a 16:10 aspect ratio with a native resolution of 1680×1050. It has a 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and comes with the usual connectivity interfaces such as VGA, DVI, USB and DisplayPort. The NEC EA222WMe will be coming out this December with a MSRP of $339.00.
