NEC presents another eco-friendly LCD monitor with the NEC AS171. The NEC AS171 features a 17” screen which boasts of a 1280×1024 native resolution. It supports VGA and DVI connectivity and has a contrast ratio of 9,000:1 with a 5ms response time.

This NEC LCD monitor can reportedly consume 21% less power. The stand offers tilt adjustment for comfort and the screen has 50% less mercury than previous models. The AS171 will be shipping this month and will retail for $159.00.
