Mitsubishi has been up to a lot with TVs like the 92-inch DLP at CES and the 155 OLED display, also at CES.

At a press conference yesterday, they unveiled this 46-inch prototype TV with a red laser and a cyan LED integrated into the backlight unit.

Apparently, this red laser boosts the on-screen quality of the color red, and it “achieves a 126 percent color gamut and uses cyan light for green and blue colors”.

There is a comparison shot on my Source link, but I don’t really think it does it justice as it is something you probably have to see it in front of you to believe.
