Recently, a special hard drive called Marshal’s Media Joker was released in Japan. It functions as a multi-media player that provides content in 1080p. You can also use it as an external hard drive for a PS3 or a Toshiba REGZA TV but you can’t install your own games on it, though. However, you can play Blu-ray ISOs although the company warns that using it this way will void your warranty.

Furthermore, the Marshal Media Joker features component, composite, both flavors of S/PDIF, HDMI 1.3, LAN, an SD card slot, a pair of USB sockets, audiovisual format compatibility and numerous ports. It’s available for retail at ?16,800 (about $184) this Saturday in Japan.
