People who are familiar with the Oppo Blu-Ray player, which retailed for only $500, may be surprised at why this latest Blu-ray player would suddenly be offered for $3,500. And get this, it is not THX certified. What?!

The slight modifications made were taking out the bottom for better ventilation and placing a darker blue filter for a slightly deeper hue. But for $3,500 there should be something more to that.
