LaCie has recently presented a new external hard-drive named LaCie Rugged Safe which is already available for purchase, with a price tag of $190 for a 500GB model.

What makes the LaCie Rugged Safe different from the rest is the good data protection, it comes with a 128-bit AES hardware encryption, a shock-proof enclosure, and a biometric authentication technology – which means all your data will be very secure. Other features include compatibility with PC or Mac, and being powered by USB or FireWire.
