Kent Displays has announced their new brand of cholesteric liquid crystal displays (chLCD) called “Reflex.” The name of the new brand is such because all display models in the Reflex brand are extremely flexible. There are products which could be used for devices requiring paper-like viewing, viewing on a curved surface, viewing under very bright sunlight, really really thin displays, etc.

In 2008, Kent Displays also will be installing the world’s first roll-to- roll production line for the manufacture of flexible LCDs. Currently, all displays in the market are cut from large sheets, and processed separately. This innovative roll-to-roll production line will enable Kent Displays to efficiently and rapidly produce large quantities of LCDs.
